JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
KG: Yes
buddy: Yes.
Casey: No
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people? How much money would you guess the average inmate spends per week on phone calls?
KG: Collect calls
buddy: $3.80 for 15 minutes.
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
KG: no, the phone would not allow calling cards,
buddy: No, but all calls were collect and the person you
called had to pay for the call.
Casey: no.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
KG: I imagine they did.
buddy: Sometimes, I don't really know when.
Casey: so they said..

is it possible for an inmate to make a call that lasts longr than 15 min?

Not really you get 15 min calls only but you can make as many as you would like while your not locked down
|

Just remember that they are ALL COLLECT! They cost 9.99 for the first minute. Thats for local calls.
